So, tonight I did my first gallery appearance. It is pretty mandatory to graduate here at SUU, but even so. I have never had much confidence in my art to be honest, but I keep having to tell myself that I really an my own worst critic. Seeing my work framed, matted, and hanging on the wall of a gallery was really inspiring. There is a particular piece that was hanging in there that was a re-do of a piece i did two years ago. The dramatic change in what I could do then and what I find pretty easy to do now is fantastic. I really owe it to my professor Ben for teaching me so well. I hope by the end of my final semester, I am even better than I am now.
Tonight I received an award for "Illustrator of the year" I guess you could say. It's for outstanding performance in the field of illustration for the Seniors. I was so humbled and surprised. I will do my best from now on to prove to myself that I deserve it.

Also, I would like to note that my professor found me on dA when I was a freshman, and I guess I interested him from the start. He told me that he found my dA back in my 2nd semester. Now I just hope there wasn't anything overly embarrassing on here back then! haha! So remember, kids... Don't post anything you don't want your college professors to see! I cringe just thinking about how I was 4 years ago.

I hope to post more of my work here in the near future, and maybe eventually get that Zhao Yun photoshoot done! I just need to find myself a photographer with one of those fancy cameras!

Anyway, it has been a while so I figure I'd update.  Thank you for going through the horrors that I have inflicted on some of  you over the years, and I really appreciate those of you who still follow my progress.
